Our Mission and vision
Kerala’s rich tradition of handlooms has always been valued for its disarming simplicity and ethereal beauty. These handwoven garments have retained their elegance over the ages, appealing to every generation. Sankalp is committed to keeping this tradition alive and thriving, thus ensuring that the weaving community of Kerala can continue to pass on this age-old art to future generations too.
Handloom weaving is an elaborate process. The raw cotton yarn undergoes various processes like dyeing, winding, warping, sizing, starching, denting and joining before the actual weaving process commences.
Sankalp works hand in hand with the gifted and highly skilled weavers of Kerala to bring out a range of handwoven sarees and double mundu or dhothis that stand apart in quality and design.
